Video Games For The Wii Console

For cheap Wii fans, here is some useful information about their favorite way of spending their free time. Microsoft, the Xbox producer, and Bungie, the company that created the first version of "Halo" a game made for Microsoft console, has announced that there will be released on the market a new version of the well known "Halo" -"Halo 3". In addition, the Xbox users will benefit from other versions like "Gears of War", "Saint's Row Splinter Cell: Double Agent" and "Viva Piņata."

Not only will the software giant release new applications, but also the other two market leaders- Nintendo and Sony- whose console will soon provide games like: "Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" for GameCube, "WWE Smack down vs. RAW 2007" for PS3, Xbox 360, PS2 and PSP, and "Final Fantasy XII" for PS2.

The video games Wii for console, produced by Nintendo, sold, worldwide, five times better than play station 3, produced by its competitor Sony, in April May 2007.

According to the data published by the two companies, Sony sold 710,000 PS3 consoles during the above-mentioned period, while Nintendo announced that sold over 3.4 billions of Wii consoles. Overall, since the two consoles release, at the end of 2006 until the present 9.27 billion of Wii consoles and 4.3 billion of PS3 consoles sold worldwide.

Nintendo Wii has a great success on the market because of its price and because of its 'Wiimote" controller, endowed with motion sensors, which can be used as a racket, sword etc. depending on the game that it's played. This kind of endowment fascinated those who are passionate by video games, both kids and adults. It does not have a hard disk and it does not offer the graphic performances of the PS3, but Nintendo Wii is twice cheaper than a PS3 console, which costs 600$.

Play station 3 does not sell as well as the first version, PS2, which was sold in 2.7 billions units during the last three months, or than a portable console PSP - 2.14 billions of units. Play station 2 has also the record for the best-sold console in the history of the video games - over 100 billions of copies.

The PS3 sales were much less than expected, but people still believe that the war has not stopped. In order to compete with Nintendo, Sony reduced the PS3 console price with 100 $ for USA. The company is planning to sell 11 billion of Play station 3 consoles this year, while Nintendo plans to sell 16, billions of Wii consoles in April 2007 - March 2008.

Trying to increase the sales before the release of the new video games promised by Nintendo and Sony, the American group Microsoft Co. announced that it will release a cheaper version (bare- bones) of the Xbox 360 console in Japan. According to a Microsoft representative, the new console will not be endowed with a hard drive of 20- gigabytes and other accessories endowed in the standard version. The Xbox 360 core System, already on the market in USA and Europe, will be sold in Japan at the price of 29.800 yen (255 $), with 10.000 yen (86 $) less than standard version.
